(A big thank you goes out to our online community – you have been amazingly patient with us as we fell behind with our Episode Archive. Some new project work fell our way, and we’ve been trying to juggle everything…hopefully we’re back on track now!)
Hello, audio dramateers! Glad to be back with you with another hour of stories. It’s time to get caught up with more of “The City Within The Walls”, and as an extra treat, we’ve got a bit of science and an Out-of-Time origin story to entertain your ears.
The dystopia of “The City Within The Walls” is created and composed by Josh Monroe, who started the series as a music project that took on a life of its own. Armed with two decades of music production knowledge and a story to tell, he got to work in bringing together The City – which led to developing a bigger universe than he first imagined. “I now realize I could spend a lifetime exploring this world and the stories within it and never have enough time to fully expand it,” Josh states. On top of it all, he draws on his knowledge further to bring a host of original music to play a vital part in the ebb and flow of the story. If you’ve become drawn into the story of “The City” and want to help, you’re invited to send an email to thecitywithinthewalls@gmail.com . Or chat with Josh personally through the Podcast Junkie discord server, where “City Within” has their own home channel. Just go to discord.gg/napQ3Cb . As of this post, “City Within” is already onto their eighth episode and doesn’t show signs of stopping, so be sure to check out the full series while you listen to Episode 3 – “Always Chaotic”.
If you’re looking for a short break after that, look no further – the Amazing Science Emporium is here! The Emporium has graced us with their collection of science features and factoids complete with amusing SFX and quirky music references. Is it an audio drama? Is it a science lesson? Is it a chunk of knowledge passed on in quasi-Beakman-and-Bill-Nye style? You decide! Since it’s all about human nature and interactions this show, we took a gander at the Emporium’s “Tribes of Future Past” for you to enjoy.
After that we ramp it up even more with the amusements of It’s All Been Done Radio Hour. IABD has been entertaining ears on and off-stage for the last four years, from their beginnings at Pack Rat Comics to their current home at Madlab Theatre. And what better way to appreciate those beginnings than with a Packer and Ratcliffe story? It’s all about how the delightful and dynamic duo came to be in this story entitled “Origins”. Get ready for some Packer and Ratcliffe quips and kerfuffles! Enjoy this trio of stories!
