Is it the future, or the past? Does it matter?
This show, we’ll be taking a listen to two very different audio drama projects, from a post-apocalyptic Earth with a dystopian way of life, to a crew that gets hopelessly lost in the far reaches of space. First up is “The City Within The Walls” from Graven Rogue Studios.
Created by Josh Monroe, the production started out as “a world building project for a concept album I was working on called ‘Dear Dayton.'” Combined with a book he was working on at the same time, a podcast format was suggested and “The City Within The Walls” started to form. The series debuted in January, and dives into a world where humanity still survives after The Great Cataclysm that befell them 350 years ago. The city and it’s inhabitants are ruled over by The Council – but their Enforcer has gone missing, and introduces doubt and uncertainty in the near future. We’ll hear more from the creator about this production came to be next week, but for this show we want you to hear this series for yourselves – especially since this weekend is a great time to binge the show, with a brand new episode of “City Within the Walls” being released this Monday, July 8th.
After that, the gang is back from It’s All Been Done Radio Hour as their four-year anniversary draws near. We wanted to share some of their performances with you in preparation for a special show next week Saturday at MadLab Theatre, so what do you say to a trip across space and time? We’ve got all of the amused space aliens and anxiety-driven sarcasm you can handle in Space Dirt, Episode 1 – “The Pilot”. Enjoy!
