Hello and welcome back everyone! As you’re aware, we are finally into the cooler weather of Fall and getting ever-so-closer to the end of October. Which means two exciting dates are coming up – Halloween, and World Audio Drama Day. When is World Audio Drama Day, you ask? Well it’s conveniently placed the day before the candy-giving holiday. Not only does it coincide with the anniversary of the original “War of the Worlds” broadcast in 1938, but it’s also the perfect time to track down some really spooky and horror-ific tales to put your ears on edge just before Halloween. What do we have in store, you ask? While our MAT broadcast falls a few days short of both of these occasions, we’ll still have a treat for you. The fine folks as Craft: The Show will be back once again with an hour of original tales to creep you out, written, performed and produced right here in Central Ohio. Definitely give them a listen next week; we’ll have a link to the episode after it has broadcast if you want to check it out online as well.
As far as things go this show, we’re rocking the Halloween theme in more subtle way. It’s one of our more lighthearted Halloween shows for sure…which will be more than made up for with next weeks’ spooky tales. We’ll start by swapping over our broadcast to the folks at King Falls AM for a little while as they report on a local fishing event, then check in on the other side of the multiverse with Dr. Oppenheimer and Mike Wilkensen as they make some startling Halloween discoveries on the Hadron Gospel Hour. Enjoy King Falls AM, Episode 3: “Catch and Release”, and the Hadron Gospel Hour, Ep 2: “Fright N Roll Nightrock”. Happy listening!
