It’s happened! If you’ve ever heard one of our weekly episodes and wanted to be in the studio with us, or listened to our MAT Features and have wondered what a live show would be like, this is the show for you! On Saturday, May 12th we had our first-ever MAT Live show, featuring two MAT Features written by Evan Waters, a past winner of our annual Scriptwriting Competition. And what an evening it was! Listeners blew us away with the turn-out, showed us nothing but encouragement, and made for some pretty awesome impromptu foley artists later in the show. If you made it out to the show, thank you for sharing in the storytelling experience! And if you missed it, never fear – just look below to hear the show in full!
This show is all about “The Adventures of Tara Flame”, with two original science-fiction stories about that intrepid space captain, with a healthy dose of action, adventure and comedy to boot. Our line-up begins with a throwback to Tara Flame On Patrol, with the original cast that recorded the story for our MAT Features collection back in 2015. After an intermission for our parent station, WCBE 90.5 FM-HD Columbus, we jump into a brand-new, never-before heard performance of one of the stories from our 2018 Features collection: Tara Flame and the Sleeping City. Both stories incorporated additional music and sound effects, including live foley performed on stage.
