The Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition: it’s fourth year in a row, this competition opens their door to stories of all types of genres, and once judged, awards cash prizes and honors to first and second place winners. Their only requirements are that the scripts are original works, family-friendly, plot-driven and no longer than 30 minutes. You can submit your scripts and find more information at their website, http://mtbscriptcompetition.
Winners are announced at that year’s HEAR Now Audio Fiction and Arts Festival in Kansas City in June. We attended this festival last year and it was a blast – hearing many new and upcoming works and meeting several different production groups and fellow audio fiction enthusiasts. This same festival is where the winners of the annual Mark Time awards are announced, and live audio plays are performed every night. You can find more information and register to attend at http://www.hearnowfestival.
As for this show, we hear more stories from 19 Nocturne Boulevard with tales from both sides of the Atlantic. It starts with “The Leech” followed by a short story entitled “Yew Will Know Me”. Enjoy!
