Welcome back, audio drama fans! Halloween has passed and October has come and gone – and for many people, that means all kinds of December holiday celebrations are on the horizon. But there’s still plenty to celebrate in November – in the U.S., the most familiar ones are Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving. With that in mind, we decided to celebrate these holidays before all of the Winter-Wonderland-craziness, by bringing you stories with elements of family and remembrance. This week we have the latest story from Sue Media Productions and Midsummer Sound Company, entitled “Never Again War: The Sacrifice of Käthe Kollwitz” by Helen Engelhardt. As one woman’s family has recovered from the World War, tragedy strikes them as World War II follows. Kollwitz discovers that every war is answered by a new war until everything is smashed.
Also, starting next episode we’ll be sharing with you our MAT Features for this year! Every year our Feature stories are the winning selections from that year’s Scriptwriting Competition, produced and presented on-air for your listening enjoyment. We have a blast doing these year, and these MAT Features are a great way to kick off our next Scriptwriting Competition which will be starting later this month. So stay tuned for more information, and enjoy this year’s Feature stories!
