Welcome, folks! We’re counting down the weeks of our spooky shows! Tonight we have a trio of stories for you, with some special shorts and a long lighthouse mystery. We are happy to share with you a new, local Columbus audio production, “The Zombie Teddy Bear“, based off of the children’s book by David Simone – it may sound scary, but it’s actually quite charming. Following that is a joint production from Final Rune Productions and Biddeford High School in Maine, entitled “Vampire in the Vernal Pool” – part of a project to combine theatre art as outdoors-experimental learning. And of course, we have the second of two tales promised to you this month from Campfire Radio Theatre – which is also a joint production with our friends at Yap Audio Productions. This selection is called “Ghosts of Flannan Lighthouse“, a chilling mystery that unfolds off the Scottish coast in 1900. In a way, it’s an evening of collaborations – both local and international! We hope you enjoy tonight’s tales!
SPECIAL: If you like tonight’s tales, you should know that each one has it’s own special project to check out! From “The Zombie Teddy Bear“, you can find the children’s book available on Amazon to read on your own. If Final Rune Productions interests you, they have recently completed their production of the “Locke & Key” audio series, which you can find for free at Audible.com until Nov.4th. And Campfire Radio Theatre is soon to be serving up one more brand-new spooky story to be a double-feature with “Night Delivery” – you can find a behind-the-scenes preview of their work on YouTube right now!
And a final ANNOUNCEMENT: This is our last October show of spookiness for now! Next week, we step aside for Central Ohio’s Doug Dangler and his show Craft, who will be bringing us several spooky tales from young Columbus writers and performers for Halloween. You won’t want to miss it!
