Welcome back, audio dramaphiles! You’ve returned just in time to explore the wild unknown of post-civilization Earth – with back-to-back episodes of Still Lives from Studio Knox. This subtle but engrossing story started back in July of 2018 by its quartet of writers – Colton Flick, James Currie,
Ríoghnach Robinson, and Sarah Schnebly. Colton and James had just finished “The Magical History of Knox County“, and reached out to their fellow Kenyon College alumni to brainstorm some stories. Fast forward 6 months to recording time with both local and remote actors, and by March the series was ready to make it’s debut – an 8-part story about 5 people that come together to make a new life after the fall of modern civilization over a decade ago. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – Still Lives is a compelling story with well-crafted characters and sound design, and well worth a listen!

Speaking of, Studio Knox is planning on a few more stories. If you’re enjoying Still Lives, keep an eye out for “Last Chance Speed Dating for the Desperate & Daring”, which follows an ordinary person speed-dating various outlandish and supernatural entities while looking for love. After that, the studio plans to blast off with their third work, “Nova Sol’s Deep Space Drive-In” – a wild, disco-inspired space heist. Here’s hoping we get to hear them soon! In the meantime, enjoy Episodes 3 and 4 : “The Secret” and “The Distance”.
