Episode 325 – The VAST Below…and some SCIENCE

Episode 325 – The VAST Below…and some SCIENCE

Welcome back! You’ve just arrived to another tantalizing episode of Midnight Audio Theatre. This show, we’re heading into the unknown with two new and unique tales – VAST Horizon from Fool and Scholar Productions and Middle:Below from Tin Can Audio.

Up first is VAST Horizon. If you’re a long-time listener, you may recognize the Fool and Scholar production group – and you’ll definitely recognize their long list of successful series, many of which we’ve had on the show. Liberty: Critical Research, Liberty: Tales of the Tower, and White Vault. With VAST, we meet Dr. Nolira Eck, an agronomist who is meant to establish plant life in a new solar system, but instead wakes up on an empty colony ship in unknown space. It’s a gripping, engaging story that will have you mirroring Nolira’s own emotions as she tries to figure out what happened. For more episodes and info, visit vasthorizonpodcast.com and the Liberty Podcast patreon page.

Next, we’re diving into another world of the unknown with Middle:Below from Tin Can Audio. The simple description of the story is “about ghosts, cats, and the slightly odd people who look after them” – but it is so much more than that. It’s tongue-in-cheek comedy, intriguing what-ifs and world ‘below’ that mirrors our own, without all the people in it. Bad things will happen, but not just yet… For more episodes, info and series, visit tincanaudio.co.uk.

And for this week’s edition of the Amazing Science Emporium, it’s all about the future of robots – be sure to check out the next edition of Midnight Audio Theatre for the next installment about robot technology.
