Hey everyone! Welcome to the first MAT episode of 2014! We’re super-excited about this year — we’ve got new stories to share, more works to produce, even some secret projects in the works which we can’t tell you about yet. But we do have one piece of news to announce – our Scriptwriting Competition winners of 2013 have been chosen! This was a really tough year to choose – I know, you’re thinking “you say that every year”, but it’s true! You can see the winners listed on our page in the links bar above, or just click here. But now! Onto our programming forRead More →
Welcome to December! Here’s hoping everyone has been safe with the rough winter weather we’ve been having. Tonight starts a series of holiday episodes that are a bit on the uncommon side, but still good to come home to, out of the cold with a warm drink. Even if they are filled with holiday horror and mystery – there’s also a bunch of comedy to go around too. This episode is a holiday story from 19 Nocturne Boulevard, “Three Exes for Xmas“, as well as the first half of “Mince Pie Murder” from the Wireless Theatre Company. Sit down and have a listen! Hello again! Tonight we’ve started our series of scriptwriting contest winners from 2012. You know, that thing we’ve been busily mixing and indirectly causing a lot of reruns this summer? So first selection of the night is “A Choice Between” by Glenn Hascall. After that we have another episode of Decorated Air Theatre‘s “This Thing of Ours“, and rounding out the evening with “SNAFU” from 19 Nocturne Boulevard. It’s a pretty tight schedule of stories tonight, but we managed to get them all in! Take a listen! (P.S. – Since we won’t have anyone in town to host MAT next week, we’ll be doing another by-week. Do youRead More →
Ready for another variety of audio entertainment? Tonight we bring you more stories from 19 Nocturne Boulevard. We’ve got something light and something dark, as we bring you “The Perfect Pigeon” and “The House on Mulberry Hill” – a little art, a little comedy, a creepy house and some ne’er-do-well kids that would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for…well, you’ll have to tune it to find out! You only have to turn down the road, number 19…..
Guess what? New episode! Well okay – technically you’re seeing this a week late. As I mention in this episode’s pre-show ramblings, right now things are a bit mussed up due to focusing our attentions on audio drama production of last year’s winners. The MAT staff/crew is very small, so at the moment splitting our focus on projects (especially mine) means something gets dropped along the way by accident. Here’s hoping we’re not rocking the boat too much for y’all. We know you like to hear new works on a regular basis, and we’re trying to keep to that whenever we can. MAT doesn’t doRead More →
Christmas is almost here, and you know what that means – holiday stories. This week and next we’re bringing you some tales for the season, and tonight they’re brought to you by some new and old friends. We’re starting out tonight with “The Christopher Walken Christmas Storybook” from Cornucopia Radio, which gives us a unique look at how Santa Claus’ present delivery might go nowadays. Following that is a special holiday episode of The Byron Chronicles from Darker Projects, as Byron makes a visit into the world of The Leviathan Chronicles. We end the night with Rebeka Gretal as she busts criminals in this 70’s-cop-beat-meets-fairytaleRead More →
