Episode 335 – Love for Sale Among the Stars, While Love Reignites for ’70s Rock Stars

Episode 335 – Love for Sale Among the Stars, While Love Reignites for ’70s Rock Stars

Click “play,” and enjoy an hour chock full of stories for your ears! We launch with a mystery for you in Episode 3 of Ask Answergirl: “A Whole Latte Cheating.” Dean Tukeva has suspicions about a statistics class where an overwhelming majority of students are getting an A. Can you break the curve and solve the case?  The series is produced by Chris Csont and Will Anderson at Central Michigan University.  To check out more of this series, visit cmich.edu and search for “Ask Answergirl”.

After that mystery, we’ll continue listening in on a radio station broadcasting during the zombie apocalypse in Mercury: A Broadcast of Hope, with “Transmission 328: The Story So Far.” The series is produced by Atlanta Radio Theatre Company. For more information and episodes, visit artc.org; you can support the full Mercury series at patreon.com/mercuryradio.

Next, the science fiction of Exoplanetary continues.  Created by Christopher Hart, the series was recorded at the Bigfoot Podcasting Studio at NedSpace in Portland, Oregon.  The cast and crew are small but mighty, with several feathers in the multiple hats they wear.   Melissa Shenter not only performs multiple characters, but is also listed as music director and co-producer.  Danger Marshall, voice of Dave and Gary, also acts as Sound Designer.  And the creator himself is playing Calvert Wolverton, when he’s not busy as writer, co-producer and director. The cast and crew seem as interconnected as the series’ fictional Wolverton children themselves, whose work for the Exo Corporation pushes them into personal, moral and ethical conflicts and conundrums in the 26th century. In this episode, we take a look at humans and androids.

We wrap up back on Earth. In Hip Replacement, we follow Cassie and Francis. They were a world-famous rock star couple in the ‘70s, winning Grammys and topping the Billboard charts. Both they and their band, Evolution, split up years ago. They’ve gone their separate ways with only their teenage daughter connecting them.  When Francis comes by to suggest getting the band back together for a reunion tour, he must fight an uphill battle. Hip Replacement comes from Camino Real Productions; they have more information at CaminoRealAbq.com.
