In this weeks episode, we’ve got our own batch of drama to ring out October, and a few stories to start off our November focus on relationships and folklore. Up first is our chilling send off from October, The Deca Tapes. Those of you who like some drama and psychological thrills in their mysteries may already be familiar with this eight-part series from creator Lex Noteboom. The Deca Tapes revolves around a set of tapes that have been leaked to the public, all recorded by a group of ten people that have confined together in some unknown place. Each recording is a personal entry of one of those people, referred to only by their roles. Their entries weave together into a chilling story of how these people came to be where they are. With compelling voice actors, and a story that isn’t easily predictable, this is one series you’ll feel compelled to binge. Listen to tape #1: The Cleaner here and visit thedecatapes.com for the rest of the story.
Our second offering comes to you from the fine folks at Atlanta Radio Theatre Company, where fictional college radio station WEHG is still broadcasting its daily message of hope. The good folks at WEHG keep brightening up their little piece of post-apocalyptia with their survival skills, coping strategies, personal stories, and their less-conventional methods to gather more information about the state of their world in the zombie apocalypse. Listen to broadcasts #171-172 today and stay up to date by visiting artc.org for each daily episode. Don’t delay, each episode only stays up for 24 hours.
Finishing off this week’s broadcast is the first episode of Ask Answergirl, a series about a college student who solves cheating capers at the fictional Compass Point State University. Produced by students and teachers at the much more real Central Michigan University, each episode has our heroine solving an individual case of academic dishonesty while the series as a whole builds up a larger mystery surrounding CPSU.
Enjoy, and happy listening!
