Welcome back on another spooky evening for audio drama! October is drawing to a close, which means a few things for us – Halloween is coming up, along with World Audio Drama Day. On top of that, WCBE‘s fund drive has just ended, and we can’t thank you enough for your support. The station has still come up short on the amount it needs to raise to see operations continue another year, however – so if you missed the fund drive and want to help, not to worry! You can make a donation online at wcbe.org – every little bit helps! And tell them that Midnight Audio Theatre sent you!
As we said, it’s the perfect time for some spooky stories. And who better to explore the world of horror than with Campfire Radio Theater. John Ballentine’s story “The Rites of Autumn” starts innocent enough, but makes for a perfect pre-Halloween treat you’ll find yourself engrossed in. After that, it’s a rough-recorded, thrown-together rendition of Suspense’s classic tale of “Sorry, Wrong Number” as performed by the staff of WCBE during our recent fund drive. Beware that’s it has some babbling, and is completely unrehearsed – regardless, we hope you enjoy!
