Our weeks of this ‘Fantastic Summer’ continue on this show, with tales of fantasy, the unusual and the amazing. If you’ve been tuning in recently, you will have heard two series on our show – The Bright Sessions and The Once and Future Nerd. Both shows are back to share one more of their tales with us, as we meet a new patient and face down the royal court of Iorden.
‘The Bright Sessions‘ is written and produced by Lauren Shippen and performed with a cast of actors and friends from across LA. Joined by sound engineer Mischa Stanton (of Ars Paradoxica fame), The Bright Sessions have completed two seasons of episodes and are currently preparing for Season 3. That isn’t to say they aren’t keeping our ears busy! Even on hiatus, they’re still wheting our audio appetites with mini-episodes on their Soundcloud page. This show, we listen in on Patient 13-A-3, or “Chloe” – a girl who is hearing some things that may make her a bit atypical – in Episodes 3 and 6 of ‘The Bright Sessions’.
After that, it’s time to catch-up on the status of our young high school heroes in the fantastic world of ‘The Once and Future Nerd‘. If you find yourself wanting to hear more of this epic tale, there are many more episodes available, with 10 story chapters with 4-9 episode installments for each. Tonight we’re hearing Part 3 of Chapter 1 – after three students are transported to the land of Iorden, their strange clothes and vocabulary earns them a suspiscious regard and a guest stay in the dungeons. But superstition and an old man’s dream may be the children’s ticket for adventure and possibly a way back home. Enjoy!
