Welcome back folks! It’s Week 4 of our “Series Run” here at MAT, where we’re running two episodic shows back-to-back – one from Decoder Ring Theatre and another from Final Rune Productions. This marks our halfway point for both series! That means there will be plenty more of these stories coming our way through March, so we hope you’ve been enjoying them so far! Tonight’s selections start with “Deck Gibson: Far-Reach Commander“, followed by Episode 4 of Final Rune Productions‘ “The Cleansed“, Season 1.
But what’s this? A new announcement! This is specifically for our listeners in the Central Ohio area. Now that our MAT Feature scripts have been chosen, it’s time for auditions! We have two ways for you to do it.
Option 1: In Person. On Saturday March 5th and Sunday March 6th we will be at the German Village Meeting Haus at 588 S. Third St. in Columbus, from 10am to 5pm. Come with a monologue or be prepared to read lines from this year’s scripts. As in years past we will be sitting in with the Actors Theatre of Columbus as they hold tryouts for their summer season in the park – so if you are already trying out for Actor’s Theatre, you’re already set! If not, let the good folks at Check-In know you’re there for audio drama auditions ONLY, and we’ll get you sorted straight-away.
Option 2: By Email. We’ll be looking for your contact information, your availability for April and May, any character preferences you may have, a resume if available, and a sample recording – either a short monologue, a voice-over demo reel, or a reading of character lines. You can find the lines as well as a reference page of story synopses at our website. You should also check our website for preferred audio submission formats and length. Submissions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to email us is Saturday, March 12th at 11:59pm EST. Look to our audition page for more details regarding both audition opportunities.
Okay! Did we throw enough information at you? If that was all as clear as mud, you can email us at email@example.com with any questions you may have – whether it be about auditions, or what happens afterwards with rehearsals and recording. Looking forward to hearing your voices!
