Hello again, folks! For the past few weeks we’ve shared a handful of rediscovered treasures – episodes that were lost to our archives. Tonight we’re still taking a look back in a way, but with some brand-new stories to tell. Our first selection is none-other than one of our MAT Features! But how can that be, you ask? Well, if you’re a long-time listener, you may have noticed back in 2014 that only one of our two winning Scriptwriting Competition entries was produced to air. Some unfortunate stalling and production backfiring occurred that year which prevented us from sharing the second story with you…but we have gotten everything caught up and have it in-hand tonight! This story was Will Anderson, whose work “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” was produced and played on our program in 2012. Tonight’s piece is another in his collection of “Showcase Theatre” stories, entitled “Flower Power: The Adventure Begins“. I belive this is the highest number of characters we’ve had to cover with a 5-person cast – it was definitely a wild and crazy ride of rehearsals and recording! We hope we did the story justice.
Once you’ve heard our Feature, be sure to stick around to hear an interesting story from 19 Nocturne Boulevard, where the play’s the thing – or is the thing, the play? It’s a theatrical tale-within-a-tale, entitled “Set Piece“. Enjoy!
