What a night for some holiday audio dramas! And tonight, we have an extra treat – another story from our 2015 MAT Features! It’s not Christmas-themed per-se, but it does start far up north, where a research team is investigating some uncovered ruins in a melting glacier. The story is written by Jim McDoniel, one of the winners of our scriptwriting competition last year. Both cast and crew greatly enjoyed this script, and we only hope that we did it justice!
For our holiday selections, we start with a tale from Misfits Audio Productions entitled “Moop Saves Christmas“. It’s a sequel to “Moop’s Christmas Carol“, where a tiny alien finds himself on earth, makes a home for himself with Santa at the north pole and discovers the true meaning of Christmas. Now Santa’s in trouble, and it’s up to Moop to make sure the holiday happens! After that, we welcome back our friends at Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre. They have crafted a Christmas story that is both heartwarming and takes a look at trials of the holiday season, entitled “The Spirit of Christmas Day“.
Don’t forget, our Scriptwriting Competition is still going strong, accepting entries through January 8th. You can find more info on our site here or by clicking the link above. Any writing experience and any genre is welcome – stories should be no more than 20 pages long and a maximum of 4 main characters. That’s it! Go check out our page for more details!
