Hello audio drama fans! This month, as the holidays approach we’re taking a look at the theme of “family”. That’s in quotes, because most of our stories are very loosely based on the idea, and not necessarily the heartwarming tales you might expect. Discovering family secrets, abandoned children and family members lost to the unknown surround our tales this month – perhaps as a reminder to appreciate the people we have in the present.
This show we welcome back two familiar friends of the show – Decoder Ring Theatre and It’s All Been Done Radio Hour. From a 2012 anthology series penned by Tim Prasil, we’re starting things off with a tale of “getting what you wished for”, in a twisted sense – from Decoder Ring’s Summer Showcase series, it’s “A Demon Once Removed“. After that, a little bit of comedy takes us beyond the stars as the crew of the A.S.S. Thrifty discover a planet full of children in “Kids These Days“. Enjoy these “out-of-this-world” tales!
